No Sleep Restriction
We do not limit your time in bed. That technique belongs with a clinician.
Safety
Tidal Sleep helps you wind down, listen to calming sounds and see your sleep trends. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Some sleep problems need a GP, and this page explains which.
Please See Your GP If
If you are struggling right now, call NHS 111, or Samaritans free on 116 123, any time. In an emergency call 999.
Driving
In the UK you must tell the DVLA if you have a sleep condition, including suspected or confirmed sleep apnoea, that has caused excessive sleepiness for three months or more, and you must not drive until it is under control. Not telling them can mean a fine of up to £1,000. See GOV.UK: sleep apnoea and driving.

Trends over weeks, numbers you can hide, and never advice to stay in bed longer to fix a figure.
Slow breathing with, at most, a short comfortable pause. No long breath holds or fast breathing at bedtime.
Sounds start quietly and fade out after 30 minutes by default. Keep the volume low and do not sleep in earbuds at high volume.
Off by default, with a screen explaining who should skip it, and night waking limited to two nights a week. Read more.
Relaxation, sounds and breathing are generally gentle, but if you are pregnant or have a heart, lung or mental health condition, check with your GP or midwife if unsure.
